　　The Logic Behind China's Latin America Diplomatic Strategy

　　Abstract: In the new century, the relationship of the community of shared destiny between China and Latin America has seen unprecedented development. At present, China has established comprehensive strategic partnership or strategic partnership with six Latin American countries including Brazil, Mexico, Argentina, Venezuela, Chile and Peru, and their political relations enter a new stage of development. This reflects the logic behind the traditional Chinese diplomatic strategy, namely, in the bilateral and multilateral diplomatic framework, it not only pays attention to the overall cooperation with Latin America, but focuses on strengthening cooperation with Brazil, Mexico, Argentina, Venezuela, Chile, Peru and other major Latin American countries in international affairs, economic and trade exchanges, and cultural communications. Correctly grasping and dealing with the relationship with the Latin American countries are in the interest of China, and also help to increase the international influence of China in Latin America, enhance political mutual trust between China and Latin American countries, and reduce the possibility of strategic misjudgment.
